Adult Workshops:

The Garden offers education programs for adults through our Second Saturday Adult Workshops - (registration form). Please check our calendar for workshops offerings.

Adult Tours:

Conducted by a trained Garden Guide, tours explore a variety of topics.  We can accommodate small or large groups, formal or informal, and will work with you to cater our programs to fit your needs. For the optimum experience, we recommend that groups are limited to 80. 

Tours operate Monday through Friday and last approximately one-hour. Please contact our Education Coordinator at (910) 486-0221 for more information. 

Tour Topics:

Flower Promenade:  Focuses on the landscaped areas at the Garden entrance, the Heritage Garden and the Great Lawn. Best done in spring or summer.

Urban Forest:  A walking study of native and non-native plants along the wooded nature trails.

Down To the River:  Environmental tour that looks at the changing species and ecological conditions relative to the Cape Fear River.  This is more of a hike as opposed to a walk.

Heritage Farm Life:  Includes explanations of the gardens and buildings surrounding the Farmhouse.

Fees:

$7 per adult

$3.50/adult in conjunction with Club/Organizational Member Meeting

$3.50 per individual CFBG member

*Minimum charge of $40/group*

Please do not bring your group without confirmation from the Garden office.
