For Children
Cape Fear Botanical Garden's Education Department
offers programs for children of all ages and abilities!
Nature Tales

CFBG’s popular preschool story and craft time is held on each first Saturday except during CFBG events or holidays. Each month we explore a different natural science theme.
Nature Tales is FREE but pre-registration is required and the sessions fill up quickly. Call the Garden office (910) 486-0221 to reserve a spot for your child at one of two sessions: 10:30 am or 11:30 am. The story and craft are appropriate for our "Little Bloomers" (ages two to six) but all ages are welcome.

CFBG Treasure Hunt
A fun way to explore the Garden! Each month, our Education Coordinator creates a new and exciting "treasure hunt" throughout the Garden. Stop in the Farmhouse to pick up your clues. Then take off throughout the grounds in search of numbered pine cones as you learn about the educational topic of the month. This is a great activity for all children and those who complete the hunt can earn 10% off their Gift Shop purchases!

Cape Fear Kids
Summer Day Camp
Each summer, the Garden offers a great opportunity for 4th and 5th graders to explore natural science and be "unplugged" for a week. Two weeks of the day camp are reserved for eligible Boys and Girls Club members and the third week is open to all rising 4th and 5th graders.
