Preschool: Eat the Alphabet
Encourage your little one to enjoy trying new foods with Lois Ehlert’s colorful and classic children’s book Eating the Alphabet Fruits and Vegetables from A to Z. We’ll read the story together and sample exotic fruits and vegetables like star fruit, papaya, or dates. Plus practice our letters with fun silly songs and walk out to the Vegetable Garden to see how our food grows from plants.
Preschool Programs
Cape Fear Botanical Garden preschool programs engage and excite young learners through storytimes, hands-on learning projects, and outdoor explorations. Encourage your child’s love of nature, art, and science with themed programs designed especially for our youngest garden explorers.
Ages 2-5 with a parent or guardian. Siblings are welcome to accompany, but must be included on the registration form.
Come dressed to explore outside. There are two back-to-back one-hour sessions of this class. The same class is offered twice to accommodate more kids.
Preschool Benefits:
Location: Please check in with the Gift Shop for class location. Preschool may meet in our classroom or our Children’s Garden Pavilion.
Fees: $15 per child, $5 for members. Fee includes preschool class activities plus Garden admission for one adult and the child. Children younger than 1 may accompany an older sibling at no extra cost.
