Turn your visit into an adventure with a Discovery Backpack! Each themed backpack is filled with tools and activities designed to help you explore the Garden in a new way. From magnifying glasses to field guides, these backpacks encourage hands-on discovery, making every walk through the Garden a learning experience.

Available to check out at no cost with regular admission or membership. Backpack themes change seasonally.

Junior Explorer Program

Young visitors can become Junior Garden Explorers by completing fun activities like scavenger hunts, word scrambles, and nature journaling. After completing five pages of the activity booklet, participants earn a certificate and magnifying glass. Those who complete the entire booklet and two additional Garden activities will also receive a patch and water bottle. Booklets are available in the Gift Shop and Nature Nook, and can be used over multiple visits.

Nature Nook

A favorite stop for explorers of all ages, the Nature Nook offers a welcoming space to meet our resident reptiles, observe birds from the patio, browse a selection of nature books, and more. Guests of all ages can take a break, enjoy interactive displays, and discover more about the natural world in a fun and relaxed setting.

Self-Guided Tour Download

Discover the fascinating world of plants with our Botanical Highlights Self-Guided Tour. This digital and printable guide takes you through the Garden, highlighting unique specimens, native species, and unusual plant adaptations.
