Jan 18th: Adult Workshop: Bark Art Creations
Unleash your creativity in this unique and engaging workshop, where natural materials take center stage! In this workshop, participants will learn how to transform tree bark and other organic elements into beautiful, one-of-a-kind art pieces. Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll discover techniques for working with bark, from preparation and preservation to crafting and displaying your finished artwork.
Building on the history of assemblage art pioneered in the 1950’s by French artist Jean Dubuffet disparate objects are combined to create a unique sculptural work of art. The aggregate parts are reworked or repurposed; then “assembled” to create the work of art. This art form encourages a creative rethinking of the everyday.
Whether you’re an experienced artist or a curious beginner, this workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, explore new materials, and create something truly special. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary. Come with an open mind and leave with a piece of art as unique as the trees themselves!
Audience Target: This event is perfect for adults on their own, couples, or small groups. No experience with assemble or tools is necessary. Children must be at least 10 years of age.
