SUMMARY:Inside Out: Transforming Interiors with Plants
DESCRIPTION:This seminar introduces participants to the principles and practices of interiorscaping—using plants strategically to enhance indoor spaces. Attendees will learn how to select plant species that complement various design styles\, lighting conditions\, and functional needs. The session covers layout planning\, plant placement for visual impact\, and maintenance strategies to keep interior plantscapes healthy and attractive. She graduated from Alabama A & M University\, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Heather owned and operated a small interiorscape business\, where she applied her expertise in designing and maintaining indoor plant environments. Building on this experience\, she later established her own greenhouse in Maryland\, where she cultivated a diverse selection of plants including herbs\, annuals\, perennials\, and indoor plants. These plants were sold at local farmer’s markets in Maryland\, allowing her to share her passion for plants with the local community.
