Our gardening expert will guide you through plant selection, color combinations, and maintenance tips tailored for fall and early spring.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, you’ll leave with your own custom-planted container and the knowledge to create beautiful displays at home. All materials provided.

Presenter: Chad Shelby has been studying Horticulture since 2018. He completed his A.A.S. in Horticulture and is currently pursuing his B.S. in Agriculture Education. Before entering Horticulture, he was in the U.S. Army for 10 years, where he served as an Infantryman. Over the years, he has gained experience in adult education, viticulture, project management, irrigation, and greenhouse/nursery management. He has been the project manager for several pro bono projects, specifically ones that involve Non-Profits like The C.A.R.E Clinic and St. John’s Episcopal Church. His work includes The Staff garden at the C.A.R.E. Clinic, Community Patriot Arts Connection Veteran’s Garden, and building the Daylily Garden at Cape Fear Botanical Garden.
