Perfect for beginners and gardeners looking to jump-start their growing season. \nFormat:\nWorkshop \nWorkshop Benefits/Learning Outcomes: \n\nSeed Selection & Preparation\n\nParticipants will be able to identify suitable seeds for greenhouse germination and explain key factors such as timing\, temperature needs\, and seed viability.\n\n\n\nGermination Techniques\n\nParticipants will demonstrate proper seed-starting methods—including soil preparation\, sowing depth\, and moisture management—to promote healthy germination.\n\n\n\nGreenhouse Microclimate Management\n\nParticipants will describe how temperature\, humidity\, and light affect seedling development and adjust their mini greenhouse setup to create favorable conditions.\n\n\n\nSeedling Care & Troubleshooting\n\nParticipants will be able to recognize common seedling issues (such as damping off\, legginess\, or nutrient deficiency) and apply appropriate solutions to support vigorous growth.\n\n\n\nFee:\n $25\, $15 for members. \nThis Workshop has reached capacity and registration is closed. She graduated from Alabama A & M University\, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Heather owned and operated a small interiorscape business\, where she applied her expertise in designing and maintaining indoor plant environments. Building on this experience\, she later established her own greenhouse in Maryland\, where she cultivated a diverse selection of plants including herbs\, annuals\, perennials\, and indoor plants. These plants were sold at local farmer’s markets in Maryland\, allowing her to share her passion for plants with the local community.

We’ll uncover the mysteries of moon dust\, create our own space-inspired art\, and even take a nighttime garden walk (weather permitting) to see the night sky like never before! As always\, we’ll end the evening with s’mores around the campfire.  \nKid’s Night Out in the Garden Series: Parents have a night off\, while kids enjoy an evening of Garden activities and night time adventure. Check back each month for a new theme. \nAudience: 8-12 year olds\, drop-off program \nLocation: Please meet at the Classroom. DESCRIPTION:Get ready to roar and stomp through time! In Dinosaur Stomp\, preschoolers will explore the prehistoric world through imaginative play\, stories\, songs\, and hands-on activities. From T. rex to Triceratops\, little learners will develop early science skills\, motor coordination\, and a love for discovery while having a dino-mite time! \nThere are two consecutive one-hour sessions of this class. The same class is offered twice to accommodate more kids. \nDesigned for ages 2-5 with a parent or guardian. Siblings are welcome to accompany if included on the registration. \nPreschool Program Benefits: \n\nInstill an early love for nature\nDevelop enthusiasm for science and art\nPromote early language and literacy skills\n\nLocation: Please check in with the Gift Shop on arrival.
