CFBG summer camps instill a love for nature with Garden explorations, hands-on science experiments and nature art projects. The Garden has programs for children ages 4-12.

Sprouts (ages 4-6)

FULL: Art from the Earth | May 26-29 (4 days) | 1:30-5:30pm

Get messy, get creative, and get inspired by nature! Art from the Earth turns the outdoors into your canvas. From painting with natural pigments to sculpting with clay and leaves, campers explore the beauty of the natural world through hands-on creations.

FULL: Fur, Feathers & Fins | June 8-June 11 (4 days) | 1:30-5:30p
This Session has Reached CapacityAnimals come in many kinds! In Fur, Feathers & Fins, campers learn about animal groups like mammals, birds, and fish. We’ll explore how animals move, where they live, and what makes each kind unique through fun activities and outdoor discovery.

FULL: Secret Life of Seeds | June 29-July 2 (4 days) | 8:30a-12:30p

Tiny seeds, big adventures! In Secret Life of Seeds, campers discover how seeds travel, grow, and turn into plants through hands-on activities. They’ll explore plant life cycles, help care for the garden, and uncover the hidden world beneath their feet.

Explorers (ages 6-8)

FULL: River Rangers | June 15-June 19 (5 days) | 8:30a-12:30p

River Rangers invites campers to splash into freshwater science! Campers will dip nets into ponds to find wiggly water creatures, test the water, and learn how to keep rivers and streams clean and healthy.

FULL: Ancient Life | July 13-July 17 (5 days) | 1:30-5:30p

Step back in time to explore the natural world of long ago! In Ancient Life, campers will discover fossils, rocks, and sparkling gems while learning about ancient plants and animals. Through hands-on activities, campers uncover clues about Earth’s past and how it has changed over time.

FULL: Storm Chasers | August 3-August 7 (5 days) | 1:30-5:30p

Get ready to chase clouds, catch the wind, and make it rain—without getting wet! Storm Chasers turns kids into young meteorologists through exciting experiments and outdoor exploration.

Trailblazers (ages 8-10)

Eco Art Lab | June 22-June 26 (5 days) | 8:30a-12:30p

Where creativity meets conservation! Eco Art Lab is a hands-on building and investigation camp where campers design, test, and create using natural and reused materials while learning how thoughtful choices help protect the environment.

Weird & Wonderful Plants | August 10-August 14 (5 days) | 1:30-5:30p

Nature’s Allies | July 6-July 10 (5 days) | 1:30-5:30p

Team up with nature to uncover how species work together to survive! Nature’s Allies explores ecosystems, symbiosis, and real-world conservation through hands-on activities, games, and simple projects that show how plants and animals depend on one another.

Wild in North Carolina | July 27-July 31 (5 days) | 8:30a-12:30p

Explore the incredible diversity of plants, animals, and habitats in your own backyard! Wild in NC combines outdoor investigation, ecological discovery, and hands-on activities to help campers understand local ecosystems and the ways people can protect them.

Galactic Gardeners | August 17-August 21 (5 days) | 8:30a-12:30p

Blast off with Galactic Gardeners, where the worlds of plants and space collide! Campers will conduct experiments, observe plant growth, and explore astronomy concepts, discovering how life on Earth is connected to the wider universe.

Meet nature’s engineers! Animal Architects explores how animals build homes and shelters to stay safe, raise young, and survive in their environments. Campers will investigate real habitats, study building techniques, and try their own nature-inspired construction projects.

Lost in the Garden | Ages 10-12 | June 4 | 9a-3p

Adventure awaits! Lost in the Garden invites campers to a thrilling outdoor adventure. They’ll track and identify plants and animals, practice wayfinding, and try simple survival skills – all while discovering nature’s secrets.

2026 Camp Pricing

* Multi-day camps: $200 per child

     (Garden Members: $165)

* Day Camps: $90 per child

     (Garden Members: $70)

 

Camp Cancellation Policy
* 90% refund if cancelled at least 8 weeks prior to start date

* 50% refund if cancelled 4-8 weeks prior to start date

* No refunds will be issued within 4 weeks of camp start date.

Scholarships

Scholarships may be available on a first-come, first-serve basis for campers who qualify.

We provide scholarships for:

  • Low-income Families
  • Children with Special Needs
  • Children in Foster Care
