Always Growing: A Campaign for Cape Fear Botanical Garden

$500k
Challenge

The Challenge

From November 4 through December 31, three generous donors—Lynne Nimocks, Beth Kenney, and an anonymous donor—will match every dollar committed to the Always Growing Campaign, dollar for dollar, up to $500,000. Your outright cash gift or multiyear pledge will go twice as far!

About The Campaign

Since opening in 1989, Cape Fear Botanical Garden, an official NC Environmental Education Center, has hosted field trips, weddings, military functions, summer and school break camps, business retreats, and family reunions. We have developed numerous gardens and trails across 80 acres, and built one of North Carolina’s most beautiful buildings, the Wyatt Visitors Pavilion Complex. We have created a place where more than 80,000 guests each year enjoy solitary reflection, time with loved ones, and the opportunity to gather with large groups to celebrate.

As we celebrate more than 35 years, we have crafted ambitious plans to be even better. The time has come to replace outdated buildings left over from when the site was a public park and turn them into an incredible education venue, upgrade gardens, add amenities that will dramatically improve visitors’ experiences, and boost our financial sustainability.
