Calling all young artists! Homeschool Series: Step-by-Step Painting gives students ages 7+ the chance to learn new painting skills, build confidence, and create something they’re proud to take home.
In each two-hour class, students will complete a different kid-friendly project from start to finish while painting alongside the instructor. Step-by-step guidance from artist Sara-Lee Jane makes the class approachable for beginners while introducing techniques such as color mixing, brushwork, layering, shading, and more.
Students will have room to make creative choices along the way, but no previous painting experience is needed. All materials are provided—just come ready to paint!

About the Instructor: Sara-Jane Lee is a Fayetteville-based working artist and instructor with formal training from Paier College of Art in New Haven, Connecticut. Her work spans painting, drawing, mixed media, and large-scale crayon pieces, and has been shown in galleries and private collections in New York, Connecticut, Virginia, and North Carolina. She is also a member artist and instructor at Cape Fear Studios.
With more than 10 years of teaching experience, Sara-Jane is passionate about making art feel approachable and helping students build confidence through practical, step-by-step techniques.
